A $750.00 deposit will reserve a puppy. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. The puppy must be paid for in full at time of pick up. Puppies will not be homed before they are 12 weeks old. Every effort will be made by the seller to assure that the puppy is healthy when it is delivered to the buyer.
The puppy sold is considered to be a pet at the time of purchase. This means that the puppy is up to date with their vaccinations; he/she has been seen by the veterinarian and has been treated for parasites (just in case). You will be provided with a good bill of health from the veterinarian at the time of pickup. All veterinary costs (other than what is covered by us), will be the responsibility of the purchaser incurred from the date of delivery.
The puppy will be guaranteed for 12 months against any life threatening defects. This includes severe hip dysphasia which requires surgery to correct (the puppy must not be more that 5 pounds overweight as determined by the veterinarian). It is important to note that French Bulldogs need be kept on a flat living surface (no couch jumping, climbing hills, standing on hind legs etc) for the first 14 months of life. We cover kidney, heart (heart murmur over grade 4), pancreases, spine, and liver problems of severe life threatening nature. If the puppy is found to have a life threatening defect, a complete report from the buyer's veterinarian must be faxed to the seller within 48 hours after the determination. If the puppy dies within this six month period, the buyer will pay for necropsy to ascertain the reason for death. If the reason is congenital, the seller will replace the puppy with one of the same value (determined by the seller). No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy is euthanized without prior permission of the breeder. A replacement puppy may not be available immediately. The buyer will wait until a puppy from a future litter is available. No monetary refunds will be made. Seller does not cover veterinarian bills. Puppies sold with a Limited Registration do not have a health guarantee. The health guarantee is not valid if the dog has been sold or transferred to a new owner. If the pup in your care has been treated for any injury the contract becomes null and void. The pup must be seen by a veterinarian within 7 days. For the contract to be valid, all paperwork from said veterinarian must be faxed or mailed to the breeder.
Alternatively, when the purchaser keeps said dog, the breeder may refund a lifetime maximum of up to one half in total of the price of the dog (before tax) at purchase in vet bills. Note that only the health issues outlined above will be considered. The purchaser must provide proof of spay/neuter. The breeder will decide on the refund amount to the purchaser. The refund will be based on the dog’s condition and its further effects on their life. The breeder has the right to request further opinions in case of x-rays, eye, and/or heart examinations. Obtaining further opinions will be the responsibility of the purchaser. The breeder may request to have any reports or x-rays mailed or shipped to their veterinarian.
The health guarantee does not cover the following: Treatment for internal or external parasites or bacteria, Parvovirus (after the first 5 days of leaving us), Cherry Eye, Entropian/Ectopian or other eye issues, loose hips, loose knees, skin allergies, elongated soft palate, and small or collapsed nostrils, bad or uneven bites, Undescended testicles, Demodex, mange, inguinal or umbilical hernias, fleas, ticks, ear mites, Coccidia, kennel cough, Giardia, thyroid dysfunction. The breeder does not warrant behavioral problems or personality traits that are not associated with temperament.
There is no guarantee or warranty that the buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy, regardless of show or breeding potential at the time of purchase. This guarantee does not include Coccidiosis, or Giardia, which can happen in puppies that are stressed from moving to new homes. I do provide medicine for such conditions before the puppy leaves. The dog is not to be bread without permission. French Bullies Ltd has the option of being compensated in the amount of $15,000.00 CAD for damages every time this dog gets bread without the proper permission from this breeder. The puppy may not be sold, leased, given, or donated to any pet shop, research establishment, or another owner (relatives, acquaintances and/or associates), without the breeder’s consent. There is no money back if the buyer decides the pup is not to their liking. No puppies sold are CKC registered. All puppies are sold as pets, therefore the prices listed on the website are pet pricing. All puppies sold as pets must provide proof of spay or neuter.
Pet Insurance for a min of ONE YEAR from adoption of the dog is REQUIRED by each puppy parent. We provide the first 30 days for free but the continuation of insurance either from Trupanion or another provider without lapse in coverage must be provided or Warranty is null and void.
